Jason Kander just dropped this magnificent ad, “Background Checks”.
Kander is the democrat challenging long-time incumbent and patriarch of his lobbyist family, Roy Blunt. This is hands-down the best ad I’ve seen in this campaign (as well as being effective in Missouri).
Here is the text:
I’m Jason Kander and Senator Blunt has been attacking me on guns.
Well, in the Army, I learned how to use and respect my rifle.
In Afghanistan I volunteered to be an extra gun in an unarmored convey of SUVS
And in the state legislature, I supported second amendment rights
I also believe in background checks
So that terrorists can’t get their hands on one of these
I approved this message…..because I’d like to see Sen Blunt…do this
Do “this”? Do what? While delivering this message. Kander assembles his rifle….BLINDFOLDED.
This race was always going to be tough and an uphill climb. But it is within reach.
